Well, whatdya know...

Spring Knitty is up, and I apparently have been knitting one of the patterns for sometime now. My Spring Socks are the exact same as the Quill Lace socks. Ok, maybe not *exactly* the same, since I ribbed the top of the one I've completed, but essentially the same. And here I was, thinking I was all original. I must be well tuned into the collective unconscious. The knitting one, at least.

Also, what's up with taking pictures of hand knitted socks standing on dirty asphalt? There's something about it that gives me that nails-on- a-chalkboard feeling up the back of my neck. I wouldn't do that in cheap store bought socks, let alone ones I've spent hours slaving away over.

I guess they're trying to come up with novel shoots for the socks but really, just show me the sock. I don't care about anythign else!

Hey there! You're the second person I've come across who has knit the quill lace pattern into a sock on her own. You're right -- it must be some sort of collective consciousness! I'd knit mine in December and almost didn't submit the pattern to Knitty. (I'd never submitted a pattern to them and figured this one would be not as great as the others I'd seen there.) Who knew?

As for the pictures, Amy had me working hard to get photos she liked! My, heavens, it really taxed my creativity for those!
