Thoughts:

This was a fast, enjoyable project. I've been wanting to make a felted bowl for a while, and this was the main reason why I bought One Skein. I am pleased with the final result and love the buttons. (Yarnstorm has started a small button obsession in me.) However, the shape of the bowl is more like a vase than a bowl. In the book, the examples look more like bowls. I tried shaping it wet, but it really didn't want to be that shape. Also, as much as I liked making it and want to make more, what does one do with a felted bowl?

OMG, it's Weather

After days of newscasters predicting a wintry apocalypse, it has finally arrived. And now that it has, they seem rather burned out about it all. I guess spending 72 hours warning people that someone left their sprinklers on so sidewalks way be icy will do that to you.
I think we got an eighth of an inch of snow last night. It hasn't been above freezing in a couple of days and I'm happy not to go to work. I plan on finishing a project, starting another, and reading a large chunk of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest".

Reading about crazy people is oddly comforting.
