A Backwards Glance

S and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary on the 26th. We got married on Memorial Day weekend so we would always have a long weekend. (it also made traveling for out of town family members easier)

We went to a resort outside of Cancun. It was very beautiful and relaxing. In fact, we relaxed so much, we didn't even take pictures. It was a weekend focused on pina coldas for breakfast and sunbathing (or sunburning, in my case) on one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen.

A lot has happened to us in the past year...we joked that ONLY possibly buying a house next year would be a vacation from wedding planning, moving to a new city and changing jobs (or careers in my case).
But I wouldn't change any of it because it has only strengthened our relationship and made us happier people.

So, here's to moving on to year two and whatever surprises it may bring!

(Like the surprise of me knitting again, perhaps?)
