Loves Me Like a Rock

This post is all about music. If you hate music, specifically what is known as "rock and roll", avert your eyes. Your regularly scheduled knit programming will return, one day. (EDITED TO ADD: I got my Ravelry invitation! WooHoo! Thanks frecklegirl! As a testament to how busy I am, I haven't had a chance to login, but I know when I do, it's going to be awesome.)

S and I went to see Modest Mouse play last Thursday. It was a pretty terrific show. We had great front and center seats. I don't have any pics to show because I always forget no one seems to enforce the "no flash photography" thing, but I do have a t-shirt "that proves you were there, that you heard of them first." (And the first to leave a comment correctly identifying the song that line is from wins a prize!) Also, it turns out our wedding DJ was there too.

ManMan was the opening act. I love it when the opening band doesn't suck and is actually quite good. If you like Modest Mouse, well, these guys sound a little more drunk and carnival-esque and put on a fun show.

And now, for a video:

I stole this video from Mike Doughty. He is one of my favorite singer/songwriters ever. I enjoy his unique view of the world.

And, to wrap this all up, The White Stripes have a new single on All Songs Considered.

My ears are so, so, happy.
